Many thanks for completing my registration for the Charity Tournament. I appreciate your help! I golfed with Karen last year and it was a great time…I’m sure this year will be a repeat.
As an aside, I totally enjoyed meeting Rita and Louise from Amberwood today. All of us who went to Summer Heights Golf Club in Cornwall had a great day. The course is beautiful and the day couldn’t have been nicer. Louise took a photo to commemorate the event. GAL really does provide a great opportunity for women to have fun and share laughs.
Many thanks and I look forward to seeing you in September!
Just an email to say thank you for arranging the opportunity for GAL members and their guests for a round at Montebello.
What an incredible course! It is number 1 on my list. Beautiful, challenging and a lot of fun.
I know I speak for my foursome: Wendy, Jan, Mary and myself…..That it was a wonderful day: from the bag handlers, the green fee (wow!) the pro shop, the course and recuperating on that deck!!!
What a season: Montebello, Haut Plains and Nation…. All new to me and all in my personal top 5!!!
Tuesday morning Travel League
I joined the GAL league in the “Learn to Golf” program last year at Raceview golf course and it was the BEST thing I have done for myself in years! The team captains were fantastic I felt welcome right away. I am going to do the ‘Learn to Golf’ program again this year at Raceview just to have access to the pro’s and coaches that come with the membership.
Further to our visit at the Golf Show ” I am a Players Assistant at Greensmere Golf Course.” When we see the “GAL” group show up on our Tee Sheets, we want to welcome you. You are prepared to play, well organized, on time and your pace of play is of a high standard. I might add you are friendly and engaging. We welcome you at Greensmere to yet another great year of golf. Hope I am on duty!! Many thanks for your participation
I joined Gal 6 years ago to meet new people and to golf more on a regular basis . It is wonderful having a regular time to tee off every week with friendly like minded golfers. Lots of laughs and a really good time each and every week. I’m looking forward to another great season of golf at Cedarhill Golf course.
I joined GAL 6 years ago – someone from work suggested the organization – so after a little research and a little push from my hubby I joined. GAL provides a great opportunity for all levels of play – you do not have to be a scratch golfer to play. You are there to have fun – and that’s what it’s all about. A little exercise, fresh air and chuckles is the ticket! I so look forward to ‘my’ night.
I joined GAL 10 years ago because I had a difficulty getting someone to play and also suitable tee times. GAL solved all that….and provided lessons to boot. In the league, I met women who supported me and my golf endeavors, built my confidence and became good friends. No matter what the age, we played, laughed and ate together while my golf got better and sometimes worse. Every year I look forward to seeing the same friendly faces and meeting others… sharing triumphs and woes and occasionally formulating a plan to sneak over to the local ice cream establishment after dinner.
This year will be my third year with GAL. My involvement has been really fun and an opportunity to make new friends, while enjoying my favourite sport. Interesting social encounters sometime went well beyond the golf course and added nicely to my social life and professional network . As a woman working full time, the Pay as you Play League met my needs. Being able to pick a day of the week as well as a golf course closer to work , made a huge difference. In the past two years, I have caught myself looking forward to that special day of the week to share stories and laughter with other women golfers. Having recently retired , I am grateful to my girlfriend for having introduced GAL to me and look forward to more time to get involved and enjoy golf .
This will be my third year with GAL and it has certainly brought back the fun side of golf. Not only have I found that my game continues to improve ( it really had nowhere to go but up) as a result of playing regularly but I have also found that I am more relaxed playing in the women’s league, allowing me to enjoy the game more.
GAL is a wonderful way to ensure that you play golf once a week with companions of your skill level at the course of your choice. It is hassle free golf at its best – your reasonable fees are paid up front, lessons are offered, your date and times are arranged for you, you have instant partners, there are activities and prizes arranged for each week, and a final tournament to wind up the season. GAL combines frequent golf with social networking in the most pleasurable way possible. I have enjoyed two years of its services, and am eagerly looking forward to this year.
